Underwater NDT & NDE
Planys is at the forefront of revolutionizing underwater asset integrity by deploying advanced Non-Destructive Evaluation (NDE) sensors specifically designed for submerged civil infrastructure. These next-generation sensors are now actively being piloted across critical underwater assets, offering unprecedented insights into structural health without requiring surface-level intervention.
Our proprietary underwater NDE systems enable real-time assessment of internal conditions in submerged structures, opening new possibilities in predictive maintenance and risk mitigation—particularly for assets like jetties, ports, dams, and bridges.
Following successful deployment and validation across key European marine terminals, Planys’ advanced NDT methods have demonstrated, high-speed inspection without marine growth cleaning and enhanced safety for operators and environments
Marine Robotics
Planys has established itself as a leader in marine robotics, with its technologies successfully deployed across multiple industrial sectors. Our submersible robots are engineered to access highly confined and deep underwater spaces, equipped with a wide range of sensors and tools.
Beyond standard offerings, Planys partners with clients to design and deliver customized submersible systems tailored to specific operational needs. We are actively engaged in bespoke product development across industries such as defense, oil & gas, and academic research.
Infrastructure
Planys’ technology has been indigenously designed from the ground up using raw materials, mechanical components and manufacturing practices that are available in India itself. Planys also has created state-of-the-art infrastructure for rapid development and testing of underwater vehicles. Situated in Chennai, Planys has a well-equipped test 7000 sq. ft. facility that houses the following:
- India’s only civil hyperbaric chamber (30 bar rated)
- Indoor Tank of size 10m x 3m x 4m
- Vertical driller
- 2D CNC router
- 3D Printer
- Electronics lab with advanced power supplies
- Measurement equipment
- Jib-crane
- Fork-lift
In addition, it also has a dedicated inventory, storage area and piloting room for training & underwater vehicle testing. The facility is equipped with high-end IT and computing infrastructure with modern CAD and simulation software packages for design.
